Major Impact Of Polylactic Acid Filament Clothing Industry

The production line of melt direct spinning poly (lactic acid) filament in Changshou City Changjiang Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. is currently undergoing the final strain test. It will be trial production this month and is expected to produce 2000 tons of PLA filament per year after commissioning.

This marks the first time that China will fully realize the industrialization of polylactic acid pilot results, and nearly 2 million tons of rice and wheat straw each year will become the raw materials for future textile enterprises.

As the national "863 Plan" and the China Textile Industry Association Science and technology guidance project, Jiangsu province's major scientific and technological achievements.

Conversion project

The Yangtze River Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. invested about 20000000 yuan, and the scientific research team spent 5 years, breaking through a series of bottlenecks from direct spinning of lactic acid to polylactic acid, and comprehensively developing the key equipment, technology and industrial application of the direct spinning of PLA.

Li Zhenhua, general manager of Changjiang chemical fiber company, told reporters that the current American monopolistic slice spinning technology needs to form the dried polylactide chips and then enter the spinning link.

Identified by the China Textile Industry Association, the melt spun PLA filament is

International initiative

The technology is more mature, which reduces the production cost, reduces the intermediate links, and ensures the quality of the output fibers.

"We will cooperate with internationally renowned enterprises in the upstream raw material industry of polylactic acid, and nearly 2 million tons of rice and wheat straw each year will become the raw materials for future textile enterprises.

By the end of next year, the company expects to produce 10 thousand tons of polylactic acid filament per year, with annual sales revenue of nearly 300 million yuan.

Li Zhenhua said.

Ji Guobiao, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, said the global shortage of oil resources and the instability of the world oil market and domestic biomass

Polymer materials

The application area is more dependent on foreign countries, which will greatly restrict the development of China's textile industry in the future.

Therefore, searching for alternatives to petroleum based materials is a general trend.

After conducting field research, he believed that the new technology, new process and the polylactic acid filament and its downstream products developed by the Changjiang chemical fiber company have continuously filled the gap in China and will have a significant impact on China's chemical fiber, textile and garment industries.
