On August 12th, a few days ago, Liu Jun, deputy director of the State Post Office, met with President Harold Peters of UPS China in Beijing and exchanged views on the development of UPS's business in China.

Liu Jun welcomed Harold Peters's visit, introduced the overall development of China's express industry in the first half of this year, and put forward requirements for strengthening the safety management of delivery channels. He pointed out that we attach importance to the business development of UPS in China, and affirm UPS's efforts in the delivery channel safety management and sustainable development. At present, the contribution rate of the development of express industry to the global economy is constantly improving. We welcome enterprises from all over the world to invest in China's express delivery market and operate in accordance with the law.

Harold Peters thanked the State Post Office for supporting UPS's business in China. It also reported the measures taken by the company to fulfill the main responsibilities of safety production, strengthen safety education and training, and implement sustainable development solutions, as well as the development and application of real name collection and delivery system. He said that UPS is willing to make more active efforts in maintaining the safety of delivery channels and the sustainable development of the industry.

According to the media, UPS entered the Chinese market in 1988 and became a logistics and express sponsor of the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. At present, the Shanghai International Transfer Center invested by the group in the Chinese market and the Asia Pacific transshipment center in Shenzhen have also been put into operation. Among them, the business of Shanghai International Transfer Center has covered the main areas of China.
