US Cotton Export Weekly: Contract Continues To Increase, China Does Not Purchase
According to the US Department of agriculture report, 4-10 days in October 2019, China did not purchase any 1814 tons of upland cotton this year.
The net signing volume of US cotton in the 2019/20 year was 46 thousand and 800 tons, an increase of 9% over the previous week, an increase of 36% over the previous four weeks. The new signing came mainly from Vietnam (24 thousand and 700 tons), Pakistan (14 thousand and 700 tons), Bangladesh (3152 tons), Thailand (2404 tons) and South Korea (975 tons). The countries that cancelled the contracts were Japan (589 tons) and the Taiwan region of China (45 tons).
The US 2019/20 cotton shipments were 34 thousand and 400 tonnes, an increase of 2% over the previous week, 6% less than that of the previous four weeks, mainly to Vietnam (8097 tons), Mexico (3583 tons), Pakistan (3357 tons), Bangladesh (2540 tons) and Turkey (2245 tons).
In 2019/20, the net contract volume of Pima cotton in the United States was 1043 tons, 52% less than the previous week, 54% less than that of the previous four weeks. The new contract came from India (295 tons), Thailand (204 tons), Salvatore (181 tons), Turkey (113 tons) and Pakistan (90 tons).
The country to cancel the contract is Greece (68 tons).
In the US 2019/20, Pima cotton transport volume was 1361 tons, 42% less than the previous week, 28% less than that of the previous four weeks, mainly shipped to India (839 tons), Pakistan (249 tons), Bangladesh (90 tons), Thailand (90 tons) and Italy (68 tons).
